Don Your Best Bonnet for the Easter Parade

What started as a very proper event during the days of the Civil War in the mid-1800s has turned into this:

Easter Parade New York City

Yes, the famed Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival will take place in Midtown again this year.  It may be called a parade, but participants don’t march, but rather wander up Fifth Avenue from 49th Street to 57th Street.  Stop by for awhile and admire the period costumes, outrageous headwear, and pet costumes.  Festivities will take place this Sunday, March 23 from 10am until 4pm.
