Quality Food, No Attitude on the Side at Brooklyn Restaurant Week

The Fifth Annual Brooklyn Restaurant Week will begin this Monday.  Over 175 Brooklyn restaurants will offer a lunch or dinner prix-fixe menu for $23.  This is a great opportunity to taste some of the gentrification that has swept Brooklyn bringing top-notch restaurants to Park Slope, Bed-Stu, Canarsie, and every neighborhood in between.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Crave  Restaurant Week is the perfect reason to check out this quaint (read: small) Carroll Gardens restaurant that touts its “Manhattan-quality” dining (read: pricey regular menu).
  • 101 Restaurant and Bar, a Bay Ridge Italian restaurant, is known for its open kitchen which turns out solid food off of the solid menu.
  • Waterfront Ale House in Borough Park is the place for you if you like BBQ, beer, and comfort food.
  • Miriam serves a full menu of Greek, Mediterranean, and Israeli dishes.  It may sound like pretension abound with things like “pomegranate vinaigrette,” but everything comes out surprisingly down-home.

There are also a handful of restaurants that are offering a set menu for two people for $23.

Dates:  Monday, March 24 until Monday, March 31st

Cost:  Three-course prix-fixe $25.
