NeON: New York to Toronto for Just $1.00
A transportation revolution is sweeping New York! First BoltBus started service between D.C. and New York for $1.00, then they expanded to include service between New York and Boston for $1.00. Now, Greyhound and Trailways have teamed to announce NeON, a new bus service between New York and Toronto, Ontario with tickets starting at just $1.00!
Service begins May 29th with twice-daily departures from New York’s Penn Station (map) to Toronto’s Royal York Hotel (map) at 8:45am and 8:45pm. There are also twice-daily departures from Toronto to New York at 8:45am and 8:45pm. You can count on the trip being at least 10 hours.
The trip may be a bit lengthy but all buses are equipped with videos, free Wi-Fi, power outlets. Similar to the BoltBus, only a limited number of $1.00 tickets will be available for each trip. Act fast and plan your summer get-away to beautiful Toronto!
Visit the Greyhound for more information and to purchase tickets.

What’s the catch? With gas prices how they are today.
Hi Yannis,
The catch is that the tickets start at $1.00 and rise considerably. Its best to purchase tickets as early as possibly to procure the best price.
My son and his friend got two $1.00 round trip bus tickets (Jun1) from Toronto to New York City to watch Blue Jays vs Yankee on Jun3.
The bus departed at 9:00pm and arrived at 7:00 am next morning, so they can start sight seeing right away.
ok..I gotta figure out how this works.
Thanks for the comment Davie. It’s nice to know that those elusive $1.00 fares do exist. I’ve logged on and only seen tickets as low as $15.00– still pretty good for an 8 hour trip.
How did you son and friend like the bus ride?

This is my first time travelling on the NeON, do the buses show up at the curbside in NY right on time as there are no signs or anything near the NY Penn Station.
Also seats with the WiFi, are they on a first to come first serve basis?
Where and How can I booked the round trips from NY to Toronto with NeON Bus? Is the bus stop located at Penn Station? Thanks!
myself(64+) and my wife want to travel to Toronto on 20th Sep. and come back on10th Oct. on NeON. How to get tickets, schedule, fare
I was wondering, can you buy a couple of round way tickets, for an extended amount of time, like 1-2 months, or are the one dollar tickets for short term stays?
