The Most Fashionable Museum: The Museum at FIT

Fashion has never appealed to the masses more since Project Runway came to television.  New York City is a fashion mecca from its Madison Avenue boutiques to Fashion Week twice a year.  It’s only right that New York City also have a museum dedicated to fashion: The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
The Museum at FIT is a tiny slice of the Fashion Institute of Technology, part of the State University of New York.  The museum’s mission is to “collect, conserve, document, exhibit, and interpret fashion.”  The museum’s permanent collection includes over 50,000 articles and is divided into …read more

Your Barney’s Warehouse Sale Survival Guide

Your Barney’s Warehouse Sale Survival Guide

Don’t worry if you see mobs of crazed-looking women on the streets of Chelsea.  It’s not the latest gentrification sweeping the city, its the semi-annual Barney’s Warehouse Sale.
This is your chance to get 50-75% off all of the designer duds that you had been eyeing.  Merchandise includes designer clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women, and gifts for the home.  We’re talking Manolo’s for $70 and a Marc Jacobs dress for $75.  New this year is the addition of children’s Halloween costumes which, oddly enough, I don’t recall ever seeing at the Madison Avenue store.

But it doesn’t just stop there!  Apparently she’s been busy since …read more

The Vinyasa Hatha-style naked yoga classes are meant to liberate you from negative belief patterns, body consciousness and, of course, clothing. According to Naked Yoga NYC, naked yoga was created with the thought that
