Top NYC Attraction: Empire State Building
“Affair to Remember” and “Sleepless in Seattle” made the Observatory of the Empire State Building one of the most famous New York City landmarks. This architectural masterpiece only took 1 year and 45 days to complete. Since it’s completion in 1931, nearly 110 million people have visited the observatory. The building, which has it’s own ZIP code, hosts two restaurants, a sushi bar, three coffee shops, a drug store, a Hallmark card shop, a post office and two banks.
Location: Fifth Avenue & 34th Street
Subways: 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Also B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.
Hours: 8 am to 2 am, 365 days a year. Last elevator at 1:15 am.
Admission: Adults (18-61) $21, Youth (12-17) $19, Child (6-11) $15, Seniors (62+) $19, Military in Uniform and Toddlers (under 6) FREE.
