Holiday Gift Guide Day 4: Gifts For the Traveler

I am definitely a "flashpacker" and I love my gadgets when I travel. I am very excited to be sharing a few of my favorite stores as well as some interesting items that are on my wish list!

Tepper Jackson Luggage Tag Flight 001 is one of my all-time favorite travel stores where you can find unique travel items. No Cooties is a travel spray that claims to aid in cleansing and purifying the immediate environment. It is a blend of essential oils that has anti-bacterial properties. I have never tried the product (and it’s not on my list) but I love the name. 1 bottle=75 sprays. $9. If you still can’t figure out the ban on carry-on liquids the Carry-On Bottle Set will help. It contains four plastic 2 oz. bottles, and two screw-top jars in a handy reusable 1 quart plastic bag and is TSA carry-on approved! $10. Do you have a black suitcase like everyone else?  Slap a bright Tepper Jackson luggage tag on your bag (pictured above) and nobody will confuse yours for theirs. $10. All of these items are available online and at the three Manhattan stores, as well as Flight 001 stores across the US and UAE.

White and Warren offers a deluxe 100% cashmere First Class Wrap. Stay warm on the plane then wear it as an an oversized scarf. Measures 81×36 inches. Choose from 23 beautiful colors! $275

Tumi Electronics Ultra Slim Universal Power Adaptor Kit is the ultimate tool to keep your electronics charged while on the road or in the air. The kit comes with a variety of tips that connect to your electronics while you charge them in the wall, in the car, or in the airplane. $195

seagateOne of the major worries for a traveler is the possibility of loosing their digital photos.  A Passport Portable Hard Drive is the perfect solution that every traveler needs to have in their suitcase. Most passport drives are only about 5×3", weigh less than 1 lb., and have over 40G of storage.  Simply stop into an internet cafe, connect the passport drive via USB cable to a computer, and copy all of your photos to the passport drive.  The Seagate 40 GB Portable External Hard Drive (pictured above) is available at various retailers online for around $100.

gpod-pole The Gorillapod is an ideal camera accessory for any traveler that takes low-light or timed group photos that normally require a tripod. The Gorillapod secures your camera to just about anything from a tree branch to a pole. Its flexible legs and ball-and-socket joints can also steady the camera on uneven surfaces. Available online in three sizes $21.96-$54.95.
